Is it just me or is the average IQ of the standard SCA guy somewhere in the Negative digits?

This mouth breather is convinced that what the SCA does is a valid martial art even though it looks like nothing from any treatise and is just well, a bunch of mentally retarded mouthbreathers hitting each other in the head He-Man style with clubs and plastc D&D armor.

Why don't you just go over to one of his SCA practices and challenge TSAFA to a duel?
I know he traveled cross country to answer Adam Sharps call to a duel. I'm sure he would be more then happy to to fight you too. The terms were no rules with choice of weapon form. I don't think you can ask for more fair terms then that.
WOW, Tsafa predicts falling sword prices and it actually happens. Is he clairvoyant???? or perhaps he just understand simple economics?
I know Tsafa sometimes gets full of himself, but you make him look like a genius-warrior.
My money is on HMA-MAN. I think he would kick tsafa's shield-covered-butt all day with a longsword. The HMA world needs a hero to go out and put Tsafa in his place. I think HMA-MAN can be that hero we are looking for. What about it HMA-MAN! Will you go beat up Tsafa and set the record straight?
I would love to see someone from the HEMA fight and beat Tusafa. I would do it myself but he hits too hard and I bruise easy.

Tsafa is just channeling homosexual urges into scadian aggression. His desire for Sharp's posterior is plain for all to see. Hemaman is obviously attracted to him.
I was just wondering if any of these posts belong to the original blogster. I think I would actually like to see this match up. I suppose this would clarify whatever the point of this blog is.

clearly tsafa is not using his full power, like a character in dragonball. should he unleash his full chi, his aura would destroy all the electrical equipment for a quarter mile and then they wouldn't be able to film it.
maybe we can all chip in for one of camcorders with a huge telephoto lens and stay clear of his awesome american non-limey aura.

Hay hema-fool, how about you tell us what sword and shield fighting is suppose to look like. That would be very enlightening since there are no complete sources.
If all you have is text on buckler, then you should use that shield as a buckler. Tsafa must learn to slope step when he attacks and use that shield to protect the hand. I don't care if he says he never gets hit in the hand. If the text says protect the hand then you must protect the hand. I don't care if he exposes his leg in sloping either. He must slope! He must use the short sword the same as a longsword. Anything else is blasphemy! Blasphemy I tell you!!! It is an attack against GOD! There is one way and only one way! The HEMA way!!!

I have met and fought Bill and I was lucky to escape with my head still attached to my shoulders from the power for his hits.
I pray the gods that Bill never find his full chi. No one man should ever have so much power in his hand. If Bill ever found his full chi, I think he would transcend his humanity and enter the realm of the immortals.
recently, chuck norris fought bill tsafa in secret (since they didn't want to endanger an audience).
i barely escaped the scene with my life and i don't know if i will ever see properly out of my left eye.
when we talk about tsafa's sword skill, all i have to say is haven't you noticed norris is now without his beard of power? according to legend, the norris beard was so impressed by tsafa's SCAdian sword that it abandoned ol' chuck and took its rightful place just north of tsafa's "gemacht."
Hemaman is a twit, but I wonder how tsafa would do against leading WMA instructors with his SCA method.
I have been doing WMA for 4 years. I thought I knew how to fight. After I saw the famous Tsafa-Sharp duel I talked to my cousin who is in the SCA. He took me to his practice and to my horror I found out last month the I don't know anything. People were just killing me at will. I have been to four SCA practices so far and I can actually defend myself a little now. I can't hit anyone yet, but I can last for more then 3 seconds. I still do WMA, but if you want to win SCA is the way to go.
As well as Vassilis sparrs, I was far more impressed with his predictions of sword prices falling based on economic trend analysis. I always just dismissed him as just a brute, but his detailed explanations lead me to believe that there is more to the man. He must be a professional of some sort. I have also seen some other posts that lead me to believe that there are many levels of sophistication to this man.
Most of the people that usually speak against him are most likely living at home, unemployed, have not combat experience, no girlfriend or are otherwise underachievers. These are people that try to make themselves look good by making someone else look bad. Pathetic.

tsafa got me into the SCA too. His website helped me out a lot in the beginning.
I don't know much about swordmanship, I just like to collect good, inexpensive swords. I fist heard of Tsafa at SBG. His tire-pell website has set new standards for lowend swords.

From what I know of Bill Tsafa, he won't back down from a challenge. He may not win, but he'll come to fight. It seems to me that you guys dislike him because he's somewhat prevalent in the SCA sport and may actually know a bit about what he's talking about?
That there is no treatise, no set of directions doesn't necessarily equate to it NOT being a MA. Jeet Kune Do was just an idea until Bruce put it to paper- and yet he opened schools, taught the teachers and even tho he's been dead these 40 years, his teachings still resonate with a lot of people, for a lot of different reasons.
So all that to say this: have a go at him if you've got the stones, or else be known as the internet equivalent of a CUNT.
